There are two main uses for the Products module. The first use is to promote the owners products and services. Second, user's can post related product information which is automatically linked to their company. This makes the site a centralized, dynamic repository for information, further promoting the owner's products and services. When a posting is edited, blind copies are sent to the web master maintaining open dialogue about changes and providing an audit trail. Products are classified by type of product or service such as, hardware, software, training, book, or magazine, and categorized by groups such as, Internet & communication, text & publishing, graphics, numbers, database PIM projects, utilities, development tools, or science & engineering. There is a field for short & full descriptions, requirements, and editorial comments. Any of which may optionally include HTML tags to link to articles or other sources of information.
