Upload
Upload , when activated, allows users of other modules to load images or upload files such as logos, screen shots, photos, or snippets with their database entries. In the case of images, a user may upload both a thumbnail and full-sized image between which the modules automatically generate links. A full audit trail is maintained between the uploaded item and posting individual. Great care is taken to allow users to upload and maintain security from viruses or uploading malicious programs that can take over a site. All uploads are made outside the server directory, checked for viruses and suitability - automatically - and then are moved to the appropriate module's sub folder and linked to appropriate database record.
The Upload module is far superior to FTP drop boxes. Upload allows automatic linking of uploaded files to database records, integration into a defined flow-control process, duplicate name handling, restriction of file types, file size limitations, etc.
Upload will help keep your site a renewed source of useful information by allowing users to upload images or files that are relevant to your site.
