User Surveys can be used for a variety of purposes. For instance, they may be used to profile your client's and/or visitors to your site, customer service polls, or employee surveys. One of our clients, one of the largest non-profits for businesses in the country, uses a system we created to conduct employee opinion surveys for their clients who include, Caterpillar. Their client's employees complete both multiple choice and essay answers. These results are randomized by question to insure respondents anonymity and reports are generated by department, including statistical analysis of the responses. Statistics are displayed as actual number of responses, percents, weighted average, and standard deviation. Colored graphical bar charts can also be prepared on a survey by survey basis. Survey results are kept in a series of related databases, thus managers may view results in real-time over the web.

Another use of the survey module is for teacher/course evaluations conducted over the web at the end of each semester by students. Students are required to complete evaluations for each professor.
