Multi-site Hosting capabilities have been designed into all of our modules with the ability to be used seamlessly with a single site or multiple sites. For example, on our server we have almost 10 sites served out of the same set of databases and modules. However, each site has a unique look and feel as well as their own information type classification specific to a site's products and services.

Configuration of multiple sites is amazingly easy. A site's overall look and feel including standard background, page layout, graphical banners (and their image maps), navigational headers and footers, and meta tags (for optimal search engine placement) can all be set once and are used by default throughout the site. At this time basic HTML experience is required to make these changes. However, an end-user tool to set preferences is under development. In addition to global preferences, a manager may set two other levels of ever more specific preferences. Preferences may be set for a particular module, eg. "What's New" v/s Links v/s "In the News" or function within a module, eg. search form summary list v/s detail. For various modules the particular item types or classifications may be specified on a per site basis as well. For example, a software developer site may want to include a developer's article or news item type. Whereas, a volunteer association may want to include "anecdotal stories" or "personal letters".

This option makes hosting multiple sites a breeze and allows for optimum versatility for both the single site and multiple site host.
