I'm the president of InfoMatters, Inc., a Chapel Hill, North Carolina based company comprised of about sixteen computer professionals who provide Dynamic Website Design, Creation, Implementation, Promotion, Maintenance, and Software. Our company started in 1991 as "Synapps" providing custom accounting and database solutions. The core competencies of the business were directly applicable to the internet and intranets and we began focusing on website work in August of 1995. Since then, the demand for our "net" services has eclipsed our other work. Thus, our primary focus is building sites for corporate giants like Apple Computer, Inc. and Duke University Medical Center as well as for schools, churches, non-profit organizations, retail stores, and law firms, along with some intranet stuff that we aren't allowed to publicize. We create extraordinary sites. We utilize a combination of the industry's best commerical tools along with a set of custom programs we have developed to design, create, implement, promote, maintain, and host sites. For instance, our sites come standard with such useful features as interactive databases, relevance ranked searches, navigation via popups and javascripts, page by page voting, opinion surveys, graphical statistics reporting, etc. On a personal note, when I'm not creating cool integrated, database-web software, I'm working toward my black belt in Taekwondo with my daughter, Leslie; going canoeing, camping, and whitewater rafting; rooting for Duke Basketball; volunteering in the community (which often results in doing something more with computers); and striving for epicurean adventures and high end wine tastings. Note: you can even put H T M L codes in your comments! |
